About

"Impress them (the commands of the Bible) on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up... The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today." (Deuteronomy 6: 7, 24)

Parents are the NUMBER ONE influence in their child's life. On average, a parent will have more that 10 times the opportunities to discuss spiritual issues in one year than a church leader does in 10 years.

With that in mind, we hope and pray that parents realize how important it is to be involved in their child's spiritual journey with Jesus. At Epic Life, we are committed to providing opportunities for parents to learn how to strategically and consistently integrate spiritual discussions and activities into their families.

We pray that parents would be committed to the responsibility and opportunity that God has given them to take daily spiritual living as a family seriously. Here are some of the opportunities to do that through Epic's children's ministry:

-Creatively integrating the daily activities we provide to reinforce the Bible lessons at home
-Attending the children's activities once a month
-Attending to the "Building Faith at Home" activities throughout the year
-Getting involved in the children's service projects
-Joining us while at church in our "play time"

**Nursery/Toddlers

Parents of 2-month-old to 1-year-olds are asked to bring bottles with powder formula, diapers, pacifiers, and any blankets that would comfort your child throughout the Sunday service. Please label all items that belong to your child. Also, please inform us of any details about your child's feeding and napping schedules.

At Epic Life Church we encourage EVERYONE to be involved in ministry! Please pray about ways that you might be able to use your gifts and talents to help our church body. If you do desire to volunteer, please take time to fill out the application. After this, you will have have to complete a background check, an interview with a staff member, and have references available. You will be trained in whatever area you choose to volunteer in, and we do ask for a one year commitment. Every volunteer role within the children's ministry is crucial in providing the fun and safe environment that we all care about. Below are specific ways we could use your help as a volunteer:

Greeters/Protectors

You will be the first to meet and greet the children and parents! Your responsibilities include: making the parents and children feel welcome, checking the children in, and giving the parent and child their matching three digit number.

Seedlings

Here you have the opportunity to develop Seedlings (infants and toddlers) in the way of knowing God's love for them. Your responsibilities are: to love and protect the children within our care, teach them God's love by your words and actions, and interact with them through songs and dancing.

Sprouts Small Group Leaders

Here you will have the opportunity to build relationships with groups of 8-10 children. You will love, teach, and help these children grow in an understanding of what it means to have a relationship with Jesus! Your responsibility will be to take the large group session and creatively integrate the lesson within your small group of Sprouts each Sunday.

Sprouts Large Group Leaders

Large group leaders are a part of providing one of the most exciting environments for the children! Your responsibilities will be to provide the Sprouts with a Bible story through words, drama, art, and/or video. The Bible story will provide the backdrop for the rest of the week while the small group leaders and the parents will be reinforcing what you teach in your time with the Sprouts.

At Epic Life Church we want to provide an amazing, fun, and exciting experience for our children and volunteers within the safest environment possible. To do this, we have had our facilities and emergency procedures approved by the local Fire Department.

Our team consists of committed volunteers who have gone through an application process, background check, reference checks, an interview with staff, and are trained in child protection.

We have also implemented a security identification system for every room to assure that children are being placed only in the most proper care. Every week, you and your child will check-in to his/her room and receive a matching three-digit number. This number represents that you are the parent and will be the one to pick up your child after the service. If a staff member feels the need to contact you as the parent, your three-digit number will appear at the bottom of the screen during the service.

To ensure the safety of everyone involved, we will not release any child to someone who does not possess the same three-digit number. You will be asked to show your number, wait patiently outside the room as we verify the numbers, and check the child out. You may gain admittance into your child's room once your number is verified and will be asked to show both numbers again in your departure.
